What an honour for David to be invited by Joanna Hotung to be Guest Judge for the London College of Music, University of West London, Hong Kong Speech Festival.
Watching the young students stand in front of an audience, conquer their nerves and speak with clarity and confidence, was the biggest treat for David. His role was to listen for vocal variety: intonation, stress, volume, pacing and pausing and to assess each performer on how well they could deliver their poem or prose. He applauds the parents who understand that vocal confidence is a skill for life, and enable their children to harness these skills from an early age.
