I vowed that I’d never be the sort of trainer that talked AT people during a workshop.
I endured four years of that studying for my honours degree. Sheer torture.
And I’ve stuck to that principle for years.
So, when I run a workshop, I introduce a concept or technique, model it, then immediately hand it over to the group to practice.
This is what embeds learning so the points stick.
