Meeting With Matt Abrahams

I just had an absolute fanboy moment, and am still quite beside myself with excitement.

If I hadn’t had a meeting at this location, if I hadn’t sat down to cool off, if I hadn’t decided to walk on the 2nd floor, I never would have passed the bookshop at 6.25pm that had a book signing with Matt Abrahams at 6.30pm.

Here in Hong Kong for a flying visit.

Sorry, this was not just a coincidence.

I have followed Matt and his work for years, read his books, watched his TED talks, listened to his podcasts. I cite his work regularly in my communication skills workshops. In fact, I had done so earlier that day.

I could’ve chatted for hours, but alas not so this time.
