Finding Confidence In Your Voice

If speaking in front of audiences, big or small, is a major part of your job role, then it’s important you know how you sound.

We generally don’t like the sound of our recorded voice because it’s weaker and less resonant than we think.

And, that’s because of the science of the voice.

But if you take that leap and immerse yourself in how you sound to other people, then more often than not, you will end up being pleasantly surprised.

I know, because I’ve had countless clients wince at their first recording, and get really judgey (I hate my voice, I come across as boring, I sound like a little girl)…

Later on, the smiles say it all.

The voice changes, the confidence rises and there is a palpable shift in their overall presence.

So, if you need to increase your vocal confidence, get used to recording yourself as part of your rehearsal process. It will make all the difference.

I know, because my 3-hr Voice Intensive Program does exactly that.

Problem is, the Sydney harbour views are so stunning, it’s really hard to concentrate. 😂
