Introduction
In these introduction videos you will learn:
- What gravitas is and what a voice with gravitas sounds like.

The Power Of Your Breath
In Module 1 you will learn:
- To change the basic sound of your voice and explore your vocal range.
- About the different voices – head, middle and chest – and their impact on your listeners.
- To find your own natural, authoritative voice.
You will also learn skills and techniques to:
- Give your voice more power through diaphragmatic breathing.
- Improve your breath control through specific breathing exercises.
- Develop a strong and stable voice to improve your confidence when speaking.
Using Your Voice To Project Leadership
In Module 2 you will learn:
- About the importance of pitch control to increase your impact as a speaker.
- To experiment with your own pitch range to give your voice more power.
- To understand the importance of a deeper voice as a way to project leadership.
You will also learn skills and techniques to:
- Find your lowest natural pitch to convey more authority when giving presentations or speeches.
- Use mask resonance to give more volume, depth and tone to your voice.
- Quickly access a deeper and more resonant voice before public speaking.

In Module 3 you will learn:
- To slow down your pace when presenting, for impact and engagement.
- About the importance of varying your pace to make your message more dynamic.
- To use pausing confidently and effectively to convey authority and project leadership.
You will also learn skills and techniques to:
- Use different types of pauses, in different situations, to underline your message and engage your audience.
- Combine pacing, pausing and duration correctly to give your delivery more gravitas.
- Replace unprofessional sounding ‘filler words’ with well-timed pauses.
How To Make A Good Speech Great
In Module 4 you will learn:
- How to bring your speech alive and keep your audience engaged.
- To control the flow of information, both for you and your audience, to make your message clearer.
- To give your listeners time to process your key ideas when delivering complex information.

- Mark up your speech or presentation using a simple system all great speakers use.

A Little Bit About Me
I’ve been working in the world of voice for over 30 years. I began my career in London at the BBC working on documentaries, TV shows and films. I’m now an audio producer, studio director, voice over artist and executive voice coach. But my greatest achievement has been using my many years of experience to create executive voice and presence coaching programs that help good speakers become great speakers.
Based in Asia since 1996, I’ve run workshops and webinars across the region and beyond; Hong Kong, India, Dubai, Singapore, China, Korea, Japan, the US and Australia. I’ve had the pleasure of coaching CEOs, senior partners, young executives, and TEDx speakers, teaching them the skills to speak with impact, power and authority. I’ve worked with many of the major global financial institutions and international legal firms, including Goldman Sachs, Standard Chartered, HSBC, Baker McKenzie, Nomura, Credit Suisse, Hogan Lovells, HSF, DLA Piper, as well as JLL, Bloomberg, Microsoft, Weber Shandwick, Estee Lauder, Van Cleef & Arpels and many more.
As a voice expert I’ve written opinion columns and articles for advertising and human resources publications and been interviewed for newspaper articles, TV shows, radio and podcasts, sharing my knowledge and expertise on the importance of voice. I was also delighted to be voted a top Hong Kong Influencer for my work in this field.
